Nadine Currie Jackson Back Home After 6th Place at World Masters Marathon Champs

Nadine Currie Jackson has just returned home from Europe after competing in Dijon, France, at the World Masters Marathon Championships.

The race went very well for her, considering she partially dislocated her shoulder 10 days before the race. The shoulder wasn’t an issue since she had some very aggressive therapy and exercises to get it back into a functional arm swing.

She placed 6th in her category. Her goal was to place in the top ten. So she was pleased with that. Nadine tried to hold on to the attack pack, they got a bit of speed and she lost the draft. She spent the rest of the marathon in the chase pack and won the field sprint to the finish, beating out the France alliance.

Constant Montpellier had some bad luck and was disqualified on the way to the finish line. He would have placed high if that didn’t happen. He skated strong and stayed with the lead pack to the finish.
