Sk8Strong’s Four Different Strength & Conditioning DVDs For Figure Skaters
Lauren Downes’ (physical therapist, figure skating coach) company Sk8Strong Inc. has created four different strength and conditioning DVDs for figure skaters of all levels. Initially designed for figure skaters, these sport specific programs can have the same benefit for artistic roller skaters of any level (as the demands of the sports are the same). The 2009 Official IFSA (International Freestyle Skaters Association) World Championships, as authorized by the FIRS, are planned to take place in France for the weekend of the 28th, 29th and 30th of August. Click here for more.

Registrations for the 2009 IFSA World Cup will open in early 2009 at the IFSA website. Make sure you register to assure your place in the world cup.

Montreal 24 Hours- June 6th & 7th
The 2009 Montreal 24 Hours event will take place June 6th and 7th.
The event is a 24-hour race featuring skaters in relay teams of up to 10 members. The event takes place on the beautiful and secure Gilles Villeneuve race track in Parc Jean Drapeau in Montreal. Nearly 1000 skaters take part in the annual event.
