There will be an inline skating event in Edmonton on July 1st. Details can be found at the link below. It will be a 25 to 30min race. The course is smooth 1.1km loop
“You may be required to sign a waiver form. When you arrive on site, look for INFRONT INLINE SPEED SKATING members: Dayton, Ivan, Sid, Glenn (see the picture). HELMET and WRIST GUARDS are required. All skaters must be there by 12:15pm. All skaters must demonstrate a left and a right turn, and show an ability to stop. There will be a Safety meeting at 1:00pm before the race. Skaters MUST attend this in order to participate”
As Chairman of the CIPA Committee l have decided to take out the first tune of Paso Doble (No.19 on the official music disc), Senior Solo Dance, and use tunes 2 and 3 only in the forthcoming World Artistic Solo Dance Championships.
Can all Federations please advise their Clubs and Trainers of this urgently, as l want to make sure that all skaters are comfortable with the music for 2014, and as this piece of music has caused concern in many areas, it will not be used by CIPA in the Senior World Artistic Championships to be held in Reus, Spain.

Les Championnats Québécois de patinage à roues alignées auront lieu en ce samedi Saint-Lambert. La FPVQ organise la compétition. La compétition est ouverte à tous et n’est pas un pré-requis pour participer aux Championnats Canadiens ce 28-29 juin. Vous pouvez vous inscire jusqu’a ce soir ici: http://www.fpvq.org/
This weekend will be a ouble race weekend. The RSO Series #1 will be held in Toronto on Saturday and VRL Grand Prix #1 will be held in Laval on Sunday.

Trials for the Pan Am Olympic Festival (July, Mexico) will be tomorrow at the Parc de la Voie Maritime in Longueuil, Qc. Racers will cover 3 distances- 300m t.t., 1000m, & 15km pts./elim. Athletes signed up to compete earlier in April.

Roller Sports Canada’s Speed Committee is now accepting applications from RSC members to be considered for Canada’s selection (two women and two men) to compete at the Pan American Olympic Festival this July in Mexico.
