Doucet & Echardour Win At The Roller Marathon De Montreal

Last weekend, 200 skaters took part in the Marathon de Montreal. The day’s racing included 42km, 21km, and 8km races. The marathon was part of the NROC series.

The race was held in cold & windy conditions.

Mississauga’s Peter Doucet & Morgane Echardour were victorious in the men’s & women’s marathon.

Results & Pictures- 2009 Outdoor RSO Series #1- Mother’s Day Classic

The 2009 Outdoor RSO Series kicked off its season in Toronto today.

The race saw skaters compete in 1500-meter time trial, 500-meter sprint, and  a 10km race at the venue that will be used at the upcoming Outdoor Canadian Championships in early July.

The 400-meter track at Father Redmond school features wide corners and very smooth surface. Skaters encountered windy & cold conditions.

2009 Roller Sports Canada Outdoor Speed Championships

The 2009 Roller Sports Canada Outdoor Speed Championships will be taking place July 3rd to 6th in Toronto. The racing will take place at the Father Redmond 400-meter track near Lakeshore & Kipling. Christ the King 200-meter track will serve as a back-up venue.

Please note that entries are due June 17th.

  • Friday July 3rd– official practice
  • Saturday July 4th– 9am start

Results- Gross Gerau International Criterium (Germany), Minto Run For Reach (Ottawa)

This past weekend, Canadian skaters took part in events including Germany’s Gross Gerau International Criterium and Ottawa’s Minto Run For Reach.

Harriston’s Paisley Perrie took on a very fast and talented international field at the Gross Gerau International Criterium in Germany. The race, which attracts over 700 top competitors from all over the world, serves as an early season test for athletes of all levels.

Alex Perrie brough his refereeing experience and knowledge to the event, acting as an official referee in the event. He has been head-referee for the Canadian and Ontario championships on a number of occasions. [Click here for results]

On the North American side of the word, almost 100-skaters took to the start at the annual Minto Run For Reach in Ottawa. This 21km race was a great opportunity for skaters from Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto clubs to get together and test their racing skills. [Click here for results]

Clinic With Aaron Arndt In Toronto- May 2nd & 3rd

Aaron Arndt will be condicting a two-day weekend clinic in Toronto this weekend- May 2nd and 3rd. [Visit TISC site for more]

The clinic will run both days from 10am to 4pm.
