Dans un sprint à couper le souffle, il a d’abord bouclé les 19 tours de piste d’un circuit routier long de 2,2 km en 1h18 et 48 secondes, devançant de justesse Sergio Almarella (Ottawa), Jérôme Comtois-Urbain (Charlemagne) et Julien Armand (Montréal) qui ont terminé 2e, 3e et 4e à moins de deux secondes du vainqueur.
Le Marathon VRL a eu lieu à Laval sous un beau ciel bleu. Le vent et les virages ont permis aux patineurs de courser dans des conditions intéressantes.

The VRL Marathon took place in Laval under blue skies. The windy conditions and course with turns provided ample challenge for skaters to race with each other.
Natasha Bogucki and Kaylee Smith will be representing Canada at the World Roller Games in Nanjing, China at the end of August. Natasha and Kaylee are both members of the Calgary Artistic Roller Sports Club and have been competing in the Northwest Region of the United States for a number of years. This will be the first World Championship for Kaylee and the second one for Natasha who competed at the 2013 World Championships in Taipei. Both ladies are students at the University of Calgary. Kaylee will represent Canada in the Junior World Class Figure division and Tasha will skate the World Class Figure division. They are honoured to be representing Roller Sports Canada at the World level.
