Funding Available for Speed Related Projects, Financement Disponible Pour Projets Liés A La Vitesse

As part of a long term plan to build a vibrant roller speed skating and racing scene in Canada, as well to involve & empower the Canadian skating community to take ownership and accountability in the growth of the sport in Canada, Roller Sports Canada’s Speed Committee is looking to offer support by partnering with those involved in the sport at the local level, to those looking at becoming involved in developing roller and inline speed skating in Canada.

The Speed Committee is now accepting requests for funding for speed and racing related projects. A limited number of roller & inline speed skating related projects will be approved for funding of up to $500.

In order to be considered for funding, the projects and initiatives must respect the following:

  • Take place in 2016
  • Involve and be in support of RSC Members (Clubs) and/ or Registrants (Individuals)
  • Relate to roller and inline speed skating in Canada
  • Provide confirmation- proof & evidence- that the project & initiative has taken place
  • Once confirmation- proof & evidence- has been provided, funds will be released for the approved project & initiative
  • Application Deadline: Currently OPEN: The Speed Committee is currently receiving applications (we will note here when the Application is closed)

The selection process to fund projects and initiatives will involved the Speed Committee taking the following into consideration:

  • Selecting a geographical representation for projects and initiatives (Eastern, Central, Western Canada)
  • The specificity and potential of the project and initiative
  • The benefits the project and initiative will bring to Clubs, Individuals, and the skating and racing community in Canada
  • Safety, fairness, equity, and ethics in the planning and delivery of the projects and initiatives
  • How the project and initiative align with the Mandate for the Speed Committee (see section 11 of the RSC Speed Committee- Rules and Regulations)

The following are examples of projects and initiatives the Speed Committee will consider offering funding for:

  • Events and competitions
  • Educational opportunities for coaches and officials
  • Clinics and workshops organized to support development of athletes, coaches, volunteers, officials
  • Club (member) equipment upgrades (safety & first aid, track cleaning materials, rental equipment)
  • Track and facility upgrades
  • Promotional and advertizing opportunities
  • General Club operations
  • Community relations and partnering
  • RSC Speed policy and documentation
  • Conferences where stakeholders can meet and network

  • 2) Details of the project and initiative (when, where, what, general outline of the plan)
  • 3) Details on the organizational project and initiative (who is organizing, who is responsible for what, is a Club or Individual involved?)
  • 4) Outline how the project and initiative will be in support of RSC Speed (Clubs/ Individuals) and roller and inline speed skating
  • 5) Amount of funding requested (up to a maximum of $500)

Dans le cadre du plan pour déveloper la course en roller au Canada et d’impliquer la communauté canadienne du du roller, le Comité Vitesse de Roller Sports Canada cherche à offrir un soutien de financement avec ceux qui sont impliqués dans le sport au niveau local au Canada.

Le Comité Vitesse accepte maintenant les demandes de financement pour soutenir les projets de roller course. Un nombre limité de projets de liés au roller vitesse seront approuvés pour un financement pouvant atteindre $500.

Afin d’être considéré pour le financement, les projets et les initiatives doivent respecter ce qui suit:

  • Avoir lieu en 2016
  • Impliquer et être à l’appui des Membres de RSC (Clubs) et / ou ceux Inscrits avec RSC (individus)
  • Souteir le roller vitesse au Canada
  • Fournir la preuve et la confirmation que le projet ou l’initiative a eu lieu
  • Une fois que la preuve et la confirmation ont été fournies, les fonds seront fournis pour le projet et initiative approuvée
  • Date limite pour nous envoyer votre demande: OUVERT: Le Comité Vitesse reçoit actuellement les demandes (nous noterons ici quand l’application est fermée)

Le processus de sélection pour financer des projets et des initiatives par le Comité Vitesse prendra en considération:

  • La sélection d’une représentation géographique des projets et initiatives (Est, Centre, et Ouest du Canada)
  • La spécificité et le potentiel du projet et l’initiative
  • Les avantages que le projet et l’initiative apporteront aux Clubs, Individus et la communauté de roller course au Canada
  • La sécurité, l’équité, et l’éthique dans la planification et l’exécution des projets et initiatives
  • Comment le projet et l’initiative s’aligne avec le mandat du Comité Vitesse (voir l’article 11 des Règles du Comité Vitesse RSC Speed Committee- Rules and Regulations)

Voici quelques exemples de projets et initiatives du que le Comité Vitesse considéreraient offrir du financement:

  • Événements et compétitions
  • Education pour les entraîneurs et les officiels
  • Cliniques et ateliers organisés pour soutenir le développement et les connaissances pour athlètes, entraîneurs, bénévoles, et officiels
  • Pour les Clubs affiliés avec RSC, équipement (sécurité et premiers soins, matériaux de nettoyage de la piste, équipment de location (ex. patins, casques))
  • Pistes, amélioration de pistes
  • Promotion et publicité
  • Opérations générales du Club
  • Relations communautaires et partenariats
  • Documentation, polices de RSC Vitesse
  • Conférences
