Montreal’s Chris Fiola 3rd at Northshore Inline Marathon, Chris Fiola de Montreal Termine 3ieme au Marathon Northshore Inline

Montreal’s Chris Fiola finished 3rd in the Men’s Elite Open race at the Northshore Inline Marathon (NSIM) last weekend. Morgane Echardour from Mississauga finished 6th in the women’s ‘Elite Open’.

The NSIM, held annually in Duluth, MN, is North America’s largest inline skating marathon.

Chris Fiola de Montréal à fini 3ième dans la catégorie ‘Elite Open’ au Marathon Northshore Inline (NSIM) la fin de semaine dernière. Morgane Echardour de Mississauga s’est classée 6ieme dans le rang général des femmes ‘Elite Open’.

Le NSIM, un marathon annuel qui a lieu a Duluth, MN, est le plus grand marathon en amérique du nord.

World Roller Speed Skating Championships Begin Tomorrow, Championnats du Monde de Vitesse Roller Debutent Demain

On behalf of the Canadian skating community, RSC would like to extend the best wishes for great performances to all Canadian skaters, delegates and coaches who have the honour of competing for and representing Canada at the 2012 World Roller Speed Skating Championship in Italy. The competition opens tomorrow.

Roller sports set for IOC evaluation in Italy ahead of 2020 Olympic bid

September 6 – The International Roller Sports Federation (FIRS) is set for its key inspection from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the evaluation event for inclusion in the 2020 Olympic Games will be the World Speed Skating Championships, which start tomorrow.

Roller sport is one of seven sports bidding to make the 2020 Olympic programme alongside climbing, karate, squash, wakeboard, wushu, baseball and softball, with the latter two likely to make a joint bid.
